HONEY HARMONY GARDEN is the outlet that Marucho Corporation, based in Neyagawa, Osaka, will run in the Farm & Food Village at GREEN×EXPO 2027. It is one of the Expo Association’s four themed commercial outlets, and its theme is the connection between “small lives”: honeybees (pollination), flowers (plants) and microbes (fermentation). The special site’s slogan reads, in translation, “Small lives and their power can change the world.”

Highlights and exhibits

The Expo Association describes the outlet as a place to feel the connections between small lives and to start thinking about the future of nature and food. The special site calls it a garden where visitors experience the natural cycle created by flowers, honeybees, microbes and fermentation while learning about the future of food and farming. It lists three pillars: living with nature, learning through hands-on experiences (food, farming and fermentation), and circulation and harmony between people and nature.

The rendering the Association published in March 2026 shows a sign reading “the future of flowers and food, connected by honeybees,” a row of stalls named after flowers (Nemophila, Poppy, Sunflower, Sakura and Pansy), and a menu board listing honey drinks, honey sweets, ice cream and goods. It is only an artist’s impression: the actual line-up, menus and prices had not been announced as of October 2026.

A “pre-exhibition” before the Expo

At the Yokohama Flower & Garden Festival 2026 (May 2–4, 2026, Pacifico Yokohama), Marucho ran a HONEY HARMONY GARDEN booth that it described as a preview of its GREEN×EXPO 2027 outlet. According to the special site, it sold rare honey from Japanese honeybees, icing cookies shaped like flowers and bees, and honey products and goods, and explained the role of honeybees and how pollination works.

Events and garden supporters

The Association’s first list of Expo-period events (September 15, 2026) includes Marucho’s “HONEY HARMONY FESTIVAL 2027: The future played by flowers, honeybees and food” on May 7–9, 2027 at the Large Event Plaza (provisional name). The special site is also recruiting volunteer supporters to look after the garden during the Expo, with four-hour shifts (9:00–13:00, 13:00–17:00 and 17:00–21:00), a day pass and a uniform provided (travel costs are not covered).

About the exhibitor

Founded in 1979, Marucho runs food services at shopping centers, leisure facilities and schools, operates stalls at about 20 Oktoberfest and Christmas market events across Japan, and makes its own fresh pasta and sauces. At Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, it operated outlets including the PAULANER IMBISS German beer stand (company news).
